Loved this hotel - the staff were super friendly, the cleanliness was spot on (my favourite hotel on my trip in India was Golden Tulip). Room service was always on time and helpful - would defo recommend.

No where to relax outside. No rooms with balconies or windows that open. There is a roof terrace open for events that we did use for a few minutes of fresh air.

Rooms were excellent, food was delicious and the staff were all absolutely incredible. Every member of staff genuinely could not do enough for you and made the entire stay easy and comfortable, even helping to sort things that we were doing during our stay and translating with external companies for us. Would rebook in a heartbeat the next time we visit the country.

Quiet room, breakfast

(Read the whole review and don't miss the very amusing pictures.)The good thing about this hotel is that it's a newish building in a town with very bad infrastructure. That makes this hotel a half decent option in Jalandhar but do not be fooled by the 9+ rating or the 4 star tag of the hotel. Keep your expectations very very low.

My whole stay was spread across two bookings and at the time of checkin I was promised I will be moved into the the other room on the second day before 12 and most likely much earlier. But I was given a room only at 4PM, two hours after the standard check in time. The room I received at 4 PM was not cleaned. The bathroom was stinking, bed had hair, and the table had curry on it. I spent the next hour getting the room cleaned before eventually being moved to another room. All this time the staff sounded like they were doing me a favour and I should stop complaining after they had said "sorry". It seemed they had double booked the room and given it to a wedding party keeping me waiting.When I felt I had been taken for granted I told the person at front desk I expected a compensation and any one can reach out to me for a chat before my check out the next day. To my surprise no one had the good sense to call me up or to do anything during my stay at the hotel to make up for this. Had they done I wouldn't have written this review. At the time of checkout they did waive off about 4-5% of my total bill as a compensation. To be honest I didn't care about a discount of 1500 ruppees. I have stayed all over the world and I know things do go wrong at hotels and they have had in the past in my own experience. But every single time in those hotels someone from the management proactively reached out to me and did something to assure of their competency and concern for the guest. But nobody did that at Golden Tulip.The management and the staff at this hotel lacks genuine customer care and true hospitality. See attached some pictures to understand why I call this a weird mindless place. 1) Two bottles of shower gel in bathroom, no shampoo. 2) Coffee machine in "premier room" but cups that don't fit 3) Room service missing things or bringing wrong order...

The property is located on the highway. Rooms are decent spaced and clean bathrooms.

The surrounding of the property is a bit down market which can be a letdown for some who wish to take a walk around the property.

Nice clean room. Good location. Good breakfast options.Very good dinner service. Overall very pleasant stay.

Due to a function on first floor, a lot of sound came up to the second floor disturbing our relax time.

My driver didn’t get the place for sleep in the room. So hotel need a driver rooms as well.
